About the Porth Chamber of Trade

The Porth and District Chamber of Trade Mission Statement “The Chamber aims to further its members’ business interests by providing focus for the promotion of Porth and District as a retail and business area. By acting as a representative for the business community in local issues, and providing a forum to discuss matters of general interest.”

The Chamber’s intent is to achieve this by :

• Raising the profile of Porth and District as an active business and retail shopping area. This has been achieved by promoting events such as : the Annual Christmas Festival: the Summer Carnival; the Christmas lights and decorations; encouraging innovative ideas.
• Liasing on local planning, traffic and crime prevention matters by direct negotiations with the Police and Local Authority, from our position of strength in numbers.
• Keeping its members informed by holding regular meetings and circulating minutes of the meetings. Working to maintain and increase membership.
• Fund raising The Chamber is an active body with our meetings often attended by our local Councillors.
